Our history

Prosper Delord and Marie Duffau…

In 1893 Prosper DELORD, travelling distiller and cellar master took his alambic from farm to farm transforming white wine into Armagnac. A few years later he married Marie Duffau who owned several hectares of vines in Armagnac bought by her parents in 1890 and 1919 surrounding the village of Lannepax.

Their children...

In the 30s, their two sons Gaston and Georges, created the Armagnac house Delord brothers in Lannepax. They produced, distilled and sold Marie Duffau and Delord Armagnac in France and around the world.

Their grandchildren...

In the 60s Gaston’s eldest son Jacques continued the Armagnac adventure. He was quickly joined by his brother Pierre.

Their great grandchildren...

Since 2001, Jacques’ two sons Sylvain and Jérôme formed a new fraternity in the house; one that noses, tastes and blends the product whilst the other specialises in its promotion.

Today...

The Marie Duffau Armagnacs are mainly sold in France, USA, Netherlands, Germany and Italy.
